Montecito Lake Resort Expansion Project

printerPrintable Version

The Montecito Lake Resort Expansion Project was designed to allow renovation and expansion of the Montecito Lake Resort facilities on the Hume Lake Ranger District. The purpose of this project is to replace and/or upgrade the infrastructure including bathroom facilities, septic system, recreational facilities and visitor and staff accommodations to better meet current health and safety standards. To better accommodate the demand of people traveling from throughout the States and other parts of the world, the Resort needs to expand and offer additional rooms. The managers of the Resort have identified a particular need to provide families with rooms that are better designed to accommodate a family of four to five people (e.g., two children and two adults). The proposed renovations and upgrades would allow the Montecito Lake Resort, under their permit authorization, to maximize and improve the functional capacity of the Resort within the footprint of the permitted area, while increasing the adaptability to meet current and future needs of visitors.
